Medical Disclaimer

1. Educational use only
emwithdrsumit.com (“the Platform”) is provided for educational and reference purposes for qualified healthcare professionals — including registered medical practitioners, residents in accredited training programs, nurses, paramedics, and allied healthcare staff working in emergency-care settings.
The Platform is not a medical device, is not intended for use by patients or members of the public, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. Not a substitute for clinical judgement
All content on the Platform — including algorithms, guidelines, calculators, ECG interpretations, decision rules, and any AI-assisted responses — is provided as a reference aid only. It does not replace:
- independent clinical judgement,
- patient-specific assessment,
- your local hospital protocols and policies, or
- the current published guidelines from regulatory and specialty bodies (NICE, RCEM, ACEP, ESC, BTS, RCUK, NMC India / state medical councils, etc.).
You are solely responsible for any clinical decision you make. The Platform and its author accept no liability for outcomes arising from use of the content.
3. Currency of information
Emergency medicine evolves rapidly. While we make reasonable efforts to keep content current, you must verify any reference against the most recent primary source before clinical use. Each algorithm and guideline page displays a “last reviewed” date — content older than 12 months should be cross-checked against the original publishing body.
4. AI-assisted features
The Platform may include AI-assisted features (such as natural-language search, “Ask Dr Sumit” chat, ECG explainers, and case simulators). These features:
- retrieve information from the Platform’s curated content library;
- may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated responses;
- must not be used as the sole basis for any clinical decision;
- are intended to surface relevant reference material, not to replace it — always read the cited source before acting.
AI responses are generated by third-party large language models. Queries you submit may be processed by these providers under their respective privacy terms. Do not enter any patient-identifiable information into any AI feature.
5. Bedside privacy
The Platform is read-only guidance. We do not store, process, or log any patient data — no names, no demographics, no clinical details. Your lookups remain on your device; our servers only record which algorithm or page you opened.
6. Jurisdiction
The Platform is operated from India. Users in other jurisdictions (including the United Kingdom) access the Platform at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with their local regulatory and professional requirements.
7. No clinician–patient relationship
Use of the Platform does not create a doctor–patient or other professional relationship between you (or any patient under your care) and Dr Sumit Kumar Mandal or emwithdrsumit.com.
8. Third-party content
The Platform references and links to third-party guidelines and resources. We do not host, republish, or claim ownership of those guidelines. Inclusion of a reference is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for the content of external sites.
